Spicy Fried Eggs on Ciabatta - Stellar Cookware Chef's Pan

Just about everyone's into cooking these days; magazines are full of recipes and the television is pretty much non-stop cooking shows; which as far as I'm concerned can only be a good thing.  Everyone has to eat, but few people want to spend hours in the kitchen.

Fast food is what we all need after a busy day, something that can be rustled up in next to no time, tastes good and looks good.  So if it can be made using just one pan, surely that's even better?  My Spicy Fried Eggs take under 10 minutes to make including the prep!

Not many people want to spend a fortune on fancy pot and pans either, but it has to be said a good pan will make all the difference to your cooking results.

Now, this is where the Chef's Pan from Stellar Cookware is fantastic as it's ideal for those that don't have much space in the kitchen as it can be used as a frying pan, saucepan, or a wok and it's a great price too.
Such a lovely looking pan don't you think?  I say 20cm is a nice, handy size but it's also available in 16cm or 24cm so just pick whichever size suits you best.

16cm Chef's Pan, 500ml £20.00
20cm Chef's Pan, 850ml £26.00
24cm Chef's Pan, 1.4L £33.00

Made from 18/10 Stainless Steel with a riveted handle so it will remain safe and secure.  The Heavy Duty Thermic Base means it heats up quickly and evenly.  Whilst it's not advertised as non-stick, if you follow the supplied instructions how to season your pan before first use as I did then you'll find it's fine.
Dishwasher safe but I say there's no need as it's easy enough to clean with nice hot sudsy water.

For me the best bit is it's also oven safe to 210ºC and is suitable for ALL hob types; including induction. These pans come with Stellar's Lifetime Guarantee.

To serve 1 you will need:
Olive oil for frying
A thick slice of Ciabatta
2 slices of tomato
1 egg - free range of course
1/2 a red chilli - very thinly sliced
1 spring onion - finely sliced
a few freshly snipped chives
a pinch of Oregano
flat leaf parsley - leaves only and chopped
sea salt and black pepper to season

Method:
Heat up your pan till it's nice and hot.  Brush the ciabatta with a little oil and once the pan is nice and hot, pop in the ciabatta to brown.  Remove and set aside.  Now use the same pan add a little more oil and fry the tomato.  Top the ciabatta with the tomato.
Be careful as the pan is hot; wipe the pan clean with kitchen paper.

Add a little more oil to the pan and fry the egg along with the red chilli and spring onion.

Once the egg is cooked, pop on top of the ciabatta and tomato.

Spoon over the chilli and spring onion and sprinkle with a little Oregano, sea salt and black pepper along with the chives and parsley.  Serve immediately.

  4. Oh I really like how deep that is for a frying pan. I've been looking at cookware for my campervan and with something like this I'd have a frying pan, saucepan and wok in one.
    Thank you!

  6. Oh I am a sucker for a good egg recipe! They have become my favourite post-workout breakfast :) My Stellar hard-anodised non-stick pan is coming to the end of its life now, but it is one of the most loved pieces of kit in my kitchen. So well made!
