Add bananas and marshmallows for dipping, and you have the ultimate sharing dessert for chocolate lovers - oh, and yes, you do have to share!

My first attempt at making this was a complete disaster, but it led to the creation of my Toblerone Snowball Truffles recipe, so it all worked out in the end!

You can buy a cheap fondue set on Amazon.

Ingredients

  • 200ml milk
  • 6 triangles of Toblerone

Toblerone Fondue

Toblerone Fondue

Easy to make chocolate custard fondue (dip).

Prep time: 5 MinCook time: 5 MinTotal time: 10 Min

Ingredients

  • 1 tablespoon Bird's custard powder
  • 200ml milk
  • 6 triangles of Toblerone
  • sliced bananas and marshmallows - you can also serve a selection of fruits for dipping

Instructions

  1. Mix 1 tablespoon of custard powder with a few tablespoons of milk taken from the 200ml in a bowl. Combine the powder and milk, but skip the sugar mentioned in the custard powder instructions, as the addition of Toblerone will make it overly sweet.
  2. Add the remaining milk and whisk until smooth. Pour the mixture into a small saucepan, then heat it over low heat, stirring until it begins to thicken.
  3. Melt six Toblerone triangles from a bar (save the rest for later). Stir the melted chocolate into the custard and mix.
  4. Pour the mixture into the fondue pot and light the small heater that comes with it to keep it melted and warm.
  5. Serve with sliced bananas and marshmallows and enjoy!
