Add bananas and marshmallows for dipping, and you have the ultimate sharing dessert for chocolate lovers - oh, and yes, you do have to share!
My first attempt at making this was a complete disaster, but it led to the creation of my Toblerone Snowball Truffles recipe, so it all worked out in the end!
You can buy a cheap fondue set on Amazon.

Toblerone Fondue
Easy to make chocolate custard fondue (dip).
Ingredients
- 1 tablespoon Bird's custard powder
- 200ml milk
- 6 triangles of Toblerone
- sliced bananas and marshmallows - you can also serve a selection of fruits for dipping
Instructions
- Mix 1 tablespoon of custard powder with a few tablespoons of milk taken from the 200ml in a bowl. Combine the powder and milk, but skip the sugar mentioned in the custard powder instructions, as the addition of Toblerone will make it overly sweet.
- Add the remaining milk and whisk until smooth. Pour the mixture into a small saucepan, then heat it over low heat, stirring until it begins to thicken.
- Melt six Toblerone triangles from a bar (save the rest for later). Stir the melted chocolate into the custard and mix.
- Pour the mixture into the fondue pot and light the small heater that comes with it to keep it melted and warm.
- Serve with sliced bananas and marshmallows and enjoy!
