there is record about bad effect on human (base on wikipedia http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mustard_oil However, it is not highly recommended for using; so far as i know the best choice is olive oil extra virgin, for dip fry, peanut oil is the second choice (however, the temperature should be controlled or when it reaches up to 170 celsius, it would produce toxic :), meanwhile olive oil can suffer much more than that
Cool video! I am enjoying my little bottle of mustard oil, it really does have a lovely flavour, so mellow when it has been heated. I love it for those East Indian dishes. I only use a little at a time in a well ventilated kitchen and am confident I won't be gassed!
