Prosciutto and Salami Pizza Topped with Sacla' Char-Grilled Peppers

 It is seriously easy to make this plate of melty, cheesy goodness in the way of a pizza!   
Slight saltiness from the Prosciutto and a little heat from the Salami, dotted with colourful Sacla' Char-Grilled Peppers.  Add a mixture of Mozzarella and Cheddar and I think you’ll agree you have the perfect pizza.

Of course you don’t have to use the exact toppings that I chose, just use this recipe as a suggestion and add whatever takes your fancy.

I particularly like the Italian brand Sacla' - their Char-Grilled Peppers save the time and effort of grilling your own!  They also have a great range of Antipasti in jars including Sun-Dried Tomatoes, Wild Mushrooms, Artichokes that you can use to top pizzas, making it simple to come up with your own personal pizza!

Simple Tomato Sauce - Enough for One 10 inch Pizza Base:  
Drain 1 x 400g tin of good quality tomatoes from their juice and put them in a bowl.  Squish them between your fingers to break them up.  
Add 2or 3 tablespoons of Extra Virgin Olive Oil, 2 finely chopped cloves of garlic and a pinch of dried Oregano along with a tiny pinch of salt. 

Combine all the above ingredients together in a small bowl and mix well.  If you have loads of time you can make this in advance - just give it a good stir before using. 

Now for the Pizza:
1 ready-made pizza base
1 portion of tomato sauce - see recipe above
1 jar of Char-Grilled Peppers - drained from their oil
100g shredded Mozzarella
 40g Cheddar cheese
4 or 5 slices of Prosciutto (Parma Ham)
8 slices of hot salami

How to do it:
Preheat your oven to 225C/425F or Gas 7
Pop your pizza base onto a pizza tray/dish or you can of course use a very shallow non-stick baking tray instead. 
Using a spoon spread your tomato sauce on the dough leave a 1cm (1/2 inch) edge.
Sprinkle over the mozzarella and cheddar mixture.  Top with the Char-Grilled Peppers.  Add the Prosciutto (tear each slice into 3 pieces).
Now put the salami evenly over the pizza and bake for about 20 minutes.
