The MEATER+ has no wires and uses a smart guided cook system to ensure great results every time. No more worrying if that turkey is cooked or your steak gets over cooked. Plus it's great for BBQ’s in the summer months. This smart kitchen gadget will not only ensure juicy cooking results but it allows you to get out of the kitchen and rest assured your meat/poultry will turn out just the way you want it.

How does it Work?
It's really easy; just connect the MEATER+ to any smart phone or tablet and using a patented technology the MEATER+ provides estimated cooking times, monitors meat whilst it’s cooking and sends alerts to mobile devices when meat is cooked to perfection.
Good Points:
I've been testing to MEATER+ and I must say it really is easy to setup and simple to use. The guided cook system walks you through every step of the cooking process to guarantee perfect and consistent results. You can also set up custom alerts/notifications based on temperature and/or time. I found it really easy to set up on IOS as I'm sure it would be on Android too.
It can be used in a Pan, in the Oven on a BBQ, Smoker, Kettle Grill, Gas Grill, Kamado or a Rotisserie to measure your food's internal temperature. It also has an ambient temperature sensor (the black part of the probe) so you can see the actual temperature close to your food so if you're using it on a BBQ you can see how hot the actual grill is.
I also love that the app even estimates how long to cook your food in order to get perfect results every time. Yesterday I cooked a whole chicken and out of interest, as soon as I removed the chicken from the oven I tested the temperature with my *Thermapen and yep the MEATER+ wireless meat thermometer was spot on.
What's really handy is you can even ask Amazon Alexa 'Alexa, how's my cook' and she gives you an update which is exactly the same as what's being reported on your phone. How very marvellous is that?! Just open the Alexa app and add a skill by searching for Meater; it literally took seconds to do.
One Teeny-tiny Niggle:
While the MEATER+ is in my opinion a brilliant piece of kit, it's a shame the probe is a little on the thick side so it's tricky for smaller cuts of meat such as a regular sized steak and it would certainly be no good with thin cut steak or a skinny chicken fillet because you have to insert the probe up to and past the line which is approx 8.5cm of the probe has to be inserted into the meat as seen in the picture below.
But with that said, who wants a thin cut steak or a skinny chicken fillet anyway? 😀 So yes if I hadn't been sent one to review I'd still want to buy one. Why? Because over-all it's fantastic for say a whole chicken beef, pork or lamb joint and the all important Christmas turkey and I'll certainly get a lot of use out of mine.
