EKO X Cube Recycling Bin - Review

My review of the EKO X Cube recycling bin.

It's the perfect hygienic, quick and simple recycling solution and I absolutely love it!

Total of 40L capacity (20+20L) has two removable colour-coded inner buckets that make bag changing and cleaning easy.

Fingerprint Resistant

It's extremely stylish and made of a high quality fingerprint resistant, brushed (or powder coated) stainless steel to give a lovely refined finish.

I chose the Titanium Blue, (which by the way is just gorgeous) it's powder coated on the main part with a brushed stainless steel top.

Apparently, there's a special antibacterial Nano silver coating has also been applied to help keep germs at bay.

The bin also has a silicone seal to trap odours inside and a built-in deodoriser compartment to help to keep your bin smelling fresh.

Although considering the price of this bin, I was surprised that the odour filter wasn't included, but you can buy them over at EKO Home UK or instead you can choose a perfume capsule and holder that fits in (instead of the odour filter).

The bin does come with 2 extra strong bin bag liners and the great thing is you can find liners in any good supermarket, you don't have to buy them from EKO Home UK - although I must point out theirs are much stronger than cheaper ones.

Things I really love about the EKO X Cube Recycling Bin

Each bucket has a bag holder that allows bags to be kept secure so the bin rim is kept looking neat and tidy with no messy overhanging bags.

The EKO X Cube fits flat against the wall to save space and I'm finding this bin far better than my touch to open bin that was tall and round.

We have such a tiny kitchen and although it looks bigger than our old one it actually takes up less room as it's so slim.

I love that recycling is made far easier without having to keep popping outside to add things like tins and plastic bottles to the main outdoor recycling bin (what seems like every five minutes) when you're cooking.

The bin arrived well packed and I was impressed to find instead of the usual polystyrene EKO Home UK used compressed cardboard instead.

The bin is fingerprint resistant which is great. The foot pedal is easy to operate (so no hands needed) and the soft close lid really is soft closing.

Bag changing is easy and the bag fixer holds any size bags neatly in place with any overhang nicely hidden away from sight.
