Rocktanium Frying Pan from Stellar Cookware

I do love a nice frying pan and I have a fair amount of what I call proper good ones, but I can honestly say I am totally impressed with this Rocktanium pan, new from Stellar Cookware.  It not only looks good but performs well too; by the way I'm loving the pebble dash look.

Quantanium is a new titanium-based formula and is free from PFOA and has the toughest non-stick coating I've ever come across.  It is harder and more durable than conventional non-stick, scratch-resistant and guaranteed for an impressive five years.  After testing this frying pan for a few weeks now I highly recommend it.

Chocolate Chip Muffins - Hard Anodised Bakeware from Stellar Cookware

As you probably know I'm not usually a one for baking cakes; why?  Simply because I can't do baking, I am useless at it and so I need all the help I can get.  But with that said I did once excel myself in making Dulce de Leche Filled Muffins 😉

Of course a good muffin/cupcake tin will ensure your muffins cook evenly and this Hard Anodised Cupcake Tin from Stellar Cookware is the very thing.  It doesn't warp like some cheaper muffins tins will.  This tin is a sturdy and professional piece of bakeware (and by the way it makes a good job of Yorkshire puddings too).  I'm really pleased with the results which means me and this Stellar cupcake tin are now best buddies in the kitchen.

The tin holds twelve muffins but my recipe only made ten; and in case you are wondering, by the time I took the top picture, Paul (the husband) had already eaten two - what is he like?

If you're looking for my amazing muffin recipe it can be found here.  To make these Chocolate Chip Muffins, just leave out the Dulce de Leche and add 150g chocolate chips to the dry mix.

Life Changing Top Muffin Baking Tip (be impressed)
When adding chocolate chips or raisins and the like, to any cake mix add them to the flour and mix to coat before adding the wet ingredients; this stops them sinking to the bottom of your muffins. Marvelous!

Spicy Fried Eggs on Ciabatta - Stellar Cookware Chef's Pan

Just about everyone's into cooking these days; magazines are full of recipes and the television is pretty much non-stop cooking shows; which as far as I'm concerned can only be a good thing.  Everyone has to eat, but few people want to spend hours in the kitchen.

Fast food is what we all need after a busy day, something that can be rustled up in next to no time, tastes good and looks good.  So if it can be made using just one pan, surely that's even better?  My Spicy Fried Eggs take under 10 minutes to make including the prep!

spicy fried eggs

Not many people want to spend a fortune on fancy pot and pans either, but it has to be said a good pan will make all the difference to your cooking results.

Now, this is where the Chef's Pan from Stellar Cookware is fantastic as it's ideal for those that don't have much space in the kitchen as it can be used as a frying pan, saucepan, or a wok and it's a great price too.

Copper Kitchen Gadgets from Stellar Cookware

Check out these stunning copper kitchen gadgets from Stellar Cookware.  Reminiscent of the Victorian kitchen but with a modern twist.  Engineered from zinc alloy composite with a food safe finish which means the copper will not tarnish or lose it's sheen.

The collection includes this lovely Garlic Crusher which I've found does the job perfectly.

The Y-Peeler is a gadget that years ago I never used to think was necessary as surely a small knife does the same job?  But, I've since discovered they are most definitely necessary and even life changing!

Review - Bamboo Chopping Board with Knife Sharpener and Honer by Stellar Cookware

Did you know you're more lightly to cut yourself using a blunt knife than a sharp one?  So many people don't bother about buying a knife sharpener to keep their knives sharp but not only does a sharp knife make food preparation so much easier but it's far safer too.

Bamboo Chopping Board

If you're short of space in the kitchen then this new Bamboo Chopping Board from Stellar Cookware is brilliant since it has a knife horner/sharpener built into the corner of the board; 2 products in 1

Stellar Hard Anodised Bakeware Review - Tangy Tomato and Feta Stuffed Peppers

As we all know good bakeware is essential for good results when cooking.  Stellar’s Professional Hard Anodised Bakeware has even heat distribution with no rusting or flaking and no warping in the oven.  It's also easy to clean and free from PTFE and PFOA.

Having used my roasting tray a good few times now I have to say it's great and an affordable price too selling at just £20.00

As you can see this 32x22x5cm roasting tray is a good size and perfect for roasting vegetables and is available in different sizes.  It's really light in weight and the handles make it really easy to remove from the oven.

Made from an aluminium alloy which provides superior thermal conductivity for even heat distribution, essential for the baking of successful breads and cakes.  The pans are electrochemically-hardened (hard anodised) for unbeatable durability.

Stellar TATE Saucepans - Review

These new Stellar TATE one handed draining saucepans are in a word, fantastic.  I'm sure you'll agree they certainly look the part and I say you need these saucepans in your kitchen!
The perfectly flat lid, enables the pans to easily stack on top of each other which is great if like me, you're short of storage space in your kitchen.  Of course the clear lid lets you keep an eye on your food whilst cooking.

But the most brilliant thing about these saucepans is the way they have been designed regards draining.

Stellar Colourtone Chopping Board and Knife Set - Review

Stellar Cookware have recently introduced this very attractive yet practical knife and board set to their existing Colourtone range.  The chopping board comes with three essential kitchen knives; 9cm Utility 14cm Santoku and a 18cm Chefs knife.

Now, I'm loving this double sided chopping board!  It's brilliantly designed with a draining gutter and soft-grip handles which keep the board nice and steady.

Fresh Strawberry Milkshake - Review of the Stellar Stick Blender

Soups, gravies, purees and sauces all benefit from the use of a blender to make the job easy and quick.  When the weather is hot a nice ice cold frothy milkshake is just what you need, and in any case strawberries are always a good thing.

If you don't have room for a kitchen processor then the stick blender (or immersion blender) is the way to go.  Having been recently sent this very nice looking Stainless Steel Stick Blender by Stellar Cookware I couldn't wait to use it.

Pork and Pepper Smoked Paprika Tray Bake

Tray bakes are so very simple to make and a great way to feed a crowd.  There's no real recipe since you can add whatever takes your fancy and if the weather is nice then you can cook this on the BBQ. There's nothing nicer than sitting outdoors eating and drinking with friends.

Peppers, we love peppers, a tray bake is a brilliant way to get your 5 a day too!  You can add courgettes or aubergine and swap the pork for chicken or steak.

Tray Baked Pork Peppers and Onions

Vegetarians can of course use meat free Quorn fillets.  Armed with stuff I already had in the fridge and a nice tray of pork steaks a tray bake came to mind.

The Bakers Dozen James Martin Bakeware by Stellar - Review

Stellar Cookware have recently launched a truly lovely range of bakeware by James Martin 'The Bakers Dozen' consists of 13 essential bakeware essentials.

 A spring form cake tin
2 good sized baking sheets
2 baking trays
 2 roasting tins
2 loaf tins
a square loose base cake tin
a Swiss roll tin
a fluted flan tin
and a muffin tin

Having been sent the Large Roasting Tin to try (which was perfect for a Sunday roast) I must say I'm seriously impressed.  I've tested many roasting tins over the years but so far this has to be the best.   Made from heavy grade carbon steel which gives it even heat distribution.  All surfaces of this sturdy roasting tin are double layer non-stick too.  It's dishwasher safe, although having cooked a roast chicken and then roast potatoes in mine I found all it needed was to be washed by hand in nice hot sudsy water -  it was effortless.
Oven use up to 240C 475F or Gas 9 but can also be used on the stove top on a low heat making it great for making the gravy.

The RRP of Large Roasting Tin  is £26.00 - okay at the time of writing I've only used it a couple of times, but I really believe this product will stay perfect for ages.  All products in the range come with the Stellar lifetime guarantee and 5 year non-stick guarantee.

You'll find a James Martin recipe printed on each pack of Bakers Dozen products too!

Easy Chicken Casserole - Stellar Cookware Induction Hob and Pan

Here in this video I make a really easy chicken casserole - it's nothing fancy but it's tasty and is the very thing for this horrid weather we have here at the moment.  All you need to serve is either mashed potatoes or you could have some nice crusty bread.

I'm using an induction hob from Stellar Cookware and the pan I used is the Stellar 5000 induction saute pan which is suitable for all hob types.  I wanted to use the timer function on the hob which I did and it works a treat.  I stirred the casserole from time to time and to check how it was going.

About the Pan and Induction Hob:
The Teflon Platinum Pro triple-layered non-stick.  Mirror polished high quality 18/10 stainless steel, Cast stainless steel riveted handles, with anti-slip, stay cool, soft grip handles. Dishwasher and oven safe up to 180ºc, Stellar lifetime pan guarantee, with a 10 year non-stick guarantee.

I absolutely love this pan and have used it a good few times now.  The pan I was sent it 28cm and is a good size.  So very easy to clean and although it is dishwasher safe I have so far just needed to wash in hot soapy water, rinse and dry.  Nothing seems to stick to it, it's brilliant.  Although it is a little heavy I found it easy to lift due to the extra helper handle.  The glass lid allows you to see what's happening to your cooking and is ventilated too. The pan is available in 24cm too if 28cm is too big for your needs.  There are 12 items in the Stellar Induction 5000 Cookware range, saucepans, frying pans and a stock pot and casserole.

For anyone that hasn't already seen my review of the Stellar Touch Control Portable Induction Hob you can see it here.

Many thanks to Stellar Cookware for sending me the Induction hob and pan.  All opinions and thoughts are my own.  I was not required to write a positive review.  I only ever post reviews on products I like the look of, and therefore would buy myself.

Stellar Portable Induction Hob - Video

Regular readers would have already seen my review of the Stellar Portable Touch Control Induction Hob.  But here, in this short video I'll show you how fast is at getting to a high temperature.  And how to make a nice Toasted Cheese Sandwich, without the need to buy a fancy sandwich toaster, so this is indeed a Money Saving Tip too!

If you look at it like this, take the cost of a sandwich toaster off of the price of this Induction Hob and what's already a good price, becomes a real Billy bargain!

Where to buy:
Harts Of Stur, Amazon and all good cook-shops.

Many thanks to Pam and Stellar Cookware for sending me this induction hob model SEA22

Stellar Portable Touch Control Induction Hob - Review

This is just the first of a few posts on this rather stylish Portable Touch Control Induction Hob from Stellar Cookware (model SEA22) In the coming weeks I'll be doing a recipe or two and even a video (when I've had my hair cut)! to prove just how easy and efficient this hob is to both use and clean.

Fast, efficient heat up:

This 2000W induction hob is fast to heat up and reaches 240°C fast!  You can start frying in a matter of seconds.
With 8 accurate temperature settings from 60°C to 240°C (60°C, 120°C, 140°C, 160°C, 180°C, 200°C, 220°C and 240°C)

Stellar SEA31 Glass Kettle - Review

This is a very stylish and attractive kettle I must say.  The clear sides have cup markers making it easy to see just how much water you're about to boil.

A large 1.7l capacity with a special heating element that enables you to boil just 1 cup (250ml) of water without damaging the heating element.
Both saving you money and reducing emissions.
Stellar Glass Kettle

The push-button lid makes it easy to fill and the metal limescale filter is a great idea - most kettles don't have a metal filter which never seem to last long if you're in a live in a hard water area.  Since we do live a hard water area, I'm just a bit concerned about how often it will need descaling to keep it looking this good.  That said I am a one for descaling our kettle quite often anyone so can't see it as being a big deal.

ColourTone Knives from Stellar Cookware - Review

Stellar Cookware have recently added these Colourtone Knife Sets to their existing product range.  They're not only good-looking and stylish, but importantly, the knives are sharp just as you'd expect.  The steak knives cut through steak effortlessly.

Good Sharp Knives are Essential in the Kitchen:
You are far more likely to slip and cut yourself if using a blunt knife.

Stir-fry - Wok by Stellar Cookware

The Stellar 3000 Stir-fry/Wok:
Having been sent this (oh so very good-looking) wok from the Stellar cookware 3000 range to review, I got quite excited and had to make a stir-fry straight away.  I can't tell you how much I love this wok - available in lovely Ruby Red, Cream, or Black.  For me, shiny Ruby Red it had to be!

Everyone loves a stir-fry, they are so very easy to do and anyone can make one with just a few simple ingredients.

If you look in any good supermarket you'll find a huge range of ready chopped vegetables, with or without onion, with or without peppers, the list is endless.  They'll also have 'ready to wok' noodles and more stir-fry sauces to choose from than you can shake a stick at!

Stellar Acid Etched Graters - Review

Wow!  Now I love these and I think every cook should have the whole set.  Stellar acid etched graters are easy to use, made of Stainless steel, and are extremely sharp!  There are five graters in the range and here I have two of them.

Effortless grating with a comfortable handle and a nice rubber grip at the bottom so they don't slip.
Of course if you use the whole length of the grater you'll get nice long ribbons, but if you only use the bottom half you'll get short ribbons!
