About Amy Chaplin

Amy has worked as a vegetarian chef for over twenty years. She is the former executive chef of New York’s renowned vegan restaurant Angelica Kitchen, a recipe developer, a teacher, and a private chef whose clients include Natalie Portman and Liv Tyler.

Amy’s delicious vegan and vegetarian cuisine have appeared in numerous publications, including Martha Stewart Living, Vogue, the Wall Street Journal, New York magazine, the Guardian, the Vegetarian Times, Oprah magazine and the Washington Post.

  49. My mum had an accident just after Christmas which put her in hospital for 2 weeks with a long recovery period and led to me taking on all the cooking, which previously she had done - I've always enjoyed cooking, but it was "her domain".

    It had the unexpected result of me completely changing my diet, and I am now eating an awful lot more vegetables and much healthier food in general. My repertoire is very limited so I would love to win this as I could really do with some more vegetarian meal ideas!
