Forman and Field Tasting Hamper - Review

I was recently sent a lovely 'Tasting Hamper' to review from Forman and Field.

The hamper arrived around early in the morning, was perfectly packed and full of loads of yummy food.....

Forman and Field Tasting Hamper

So, what was inside?!

Genuine Wild and London Cure Scottish Salmon:
Totally yummy and I'm not ashamed to say over the past few days I seem to have eaten both all by myself!  It's not my fault that Paul (the husband) doesn't like lobster is it?!

Potted Lobster:
The kilner jar is re-usable and the lobster looks so good I didn't want to open it!  Nice sized pieces of lobster potted in clarified butter - was in a word delicious.  Spread on toast and would make a nice simple starter at a posh dinner party.

Chocolate Brownie:
Baked in little wooden loafs boxes and Gluten free, very chocolatey, moist and gooey.

Banana Bread:  Again this was lovely and baked in a little wooden loaf box just like the chocolate brownie.  Nice banana taste, moist and very, very moreish!

Lemon Curd:
Lovely homemade lemon curd made with free range eggs (as I would expect) and unwaxed lemons and no added preservatives or thickening agents.

Hand Carved Alderton Ham:
Made by a family producer in Nottinghamshire, English legs of ham, steamed and baked on the bone with an old fashioned
marmalade glaze.  No colouring or water is added and the hams arrive ready to carve.  The best ham we've tasted in ages.

Mrs King's Pork Pie:
Nice and meaty, full of flavour and a good amount of jelly - just as a proper pork pie should be.

Selection of Neal's Yard Dairy Cheese:
Oooh now we do like cheese - wrapped in wax paper and only cut on the day of dispatch from proper truckles and wheels.  Great flavour, nicely matured and we ate the lot between us on Saturday night!

Paul Wayne Gregory Pure Indulgence Chocolates:
Handcrafted dark chocolate with ganaches filling.  Since I'm not a chocolatey person, Paul (the husband and official taster of all things chocolate) declared these chocolates a score 10 out of 10 and wanted to know if there was another box anymore in the hamper!!

Overall Verdict:
A big thumbs up from us!
