Strawberry Blueberry and Apple Vitamin Smoothie

Vitamin-packed Smoothie Recipe

Made with the Sage by Heston, Nutri Juicer. Strawberries, blueberries and apples are a great combination and make a thirst-quenching vitamin-packed healthy juice drink.

Strawberry Blueberry and Apple Vitamin Drink

The Nutri Juicer from Sage by Heston Blumenthal makes juicing easy and I'm so pleased to have been sent one!

Since my mission to lose 9lb in 9 weeks my eating habits have changed and, as an update, I have actually managed to lose 4lb in 4 weeks not too amazing but at least I'm on track!

Fresh fruit is packed with nutrients, so my juicer was out of the box, all parts cleaned, instructions read and then after a quick trip to the shop to pick up some fruit I was ready to make juice.

I won't go into a full-scale review of the Nutri Juicer simply because all I can say is I absolutely love it and haven't found even the tiniest of thing to fault.

It's fast, powerful and really easy to clean. It's a bit on the large size as juicers tend to be, but I have re-jiggled my tiny kitchen around as this definitely not going back in its box!

Sage by Heston - Nutri Juicer

  • To keep vitamins and nutrients intact, you need to juice quickly and evenly so you don’t push heat and air into the cells.
  • The Nutri Juicer works really quickly, extracting an average of 70% of nutrients from fruit. With a centred feed chute and less than 2 degrees of heat transfer, this juicer maximises nutrition.
  • The extra-wide feed chute means you can juice bigger fruit and vegetables, so whole apples can fit down the chute without having to cut them first.
  • The included Nutri Disc™ has titanium reinforced cutting blades, which ensure they stay sharp, for longer.

500g Strawberries - hulled
260g Blueberries
2 apples

There's no need to peel the apple or even remove the core; just put it straight into the extra-wide feed chute and the skin and seeds will all be taken care of by the Nutri Juicer and you will be left with pure apple juice.

Follow by adding the strawberries and blueberries; makes about 500ml of juice.

  65. Hi Jan, you probably know this, but for your audience. a good thing to know is that peas and tomatoes are a fruit and can sometimes add that little bit of extra colour and texture to a fruity smush. try experimenting.
