Stellar TATE Saucepans - Review

These new Stellar TATE one handed draining saucepans are in a word, fantastic.  I'm sure you'll agree they certainly look the part and I say you need these saucepans in your kitchen!
The perfectly flat lid, enables the pans to easily stack on top of each other which is great if like me, you're short of storage space in your kitchen.  Of course the clear lid lets you keep an eye on your food whilst cooking.

But the most brilliant thing about these saucepans is the way they have been designed regards draining.

The lid is a handle that locks to the main pan handle and combined with the pouring lips, allows liquids to be safely poured away from the saucepans using just one hand.

Once the lid is on you're all set to drain away - using just one hand.  There's a draining lip on either side of the lid so there's no worries as they're suitable for left or right handed use.

The pouring lip is big enough to cope but small enough not to let pesky spaghetti escape you when draining.

There's also a handy measuring guide on the inside.

The Stellar TATE range is made from 18/10 stainless steel with a 5mm forged thermic base which is optimised for use on an induction hob and yet operates efficiently on all other hobs too.
They are also suitable for use in an oven up to 180C (Gas Mark 4 or 350F)

The range includes 16/18/20 cm Draining Saucepans pans and 20/22/24 cm casseroles.
Stellar Tate 16cm Draining Saucepan, 1.2L
Stellar Tate 18cm Draining Saucepan, 1.7L
Stellar Tate 20cm Draining Saucepan, 2.5L

Prices for the saucepans in size order are £40, £45 and £50

Dishwasher safe although as with all quality cookware, hand washing is recommend.

  4. Oooh, Stellar is one of my favourite brands! I have one of their hard-anodised non-stick frying pans that I would sell my granny for ;) Love these saucepans - so clever (and I am always risking disaster by trying to drain things without a colander...)
