Cheese and Bacon Stuffed Onions - Made Easy with CoreStuff

Stuffed onions made so easy with this marvelous invention - CoreStuff from Judge. 


Using this nifty gizmo means you can stuff almost anything you want to and the unique depth gauge means you don't have to go all the way!

This picture shows how it works:

Set the depth gauge to remove the core as high or low as you want to go.


 Twist the top part to remove the core:


Stuff onions, tomatoes, baby potatoes or indeed whatever else you might fancy stuffing!
The CoreStuff was really very simple to use and went through the onion with ease.


To Make 2 Cheese and Bacon Stuffed Onions:
You will need:
2 large onions - skin peeled and top and bottom sliced off so they stand flat
2 rashers of smoked back bacon
a little Cheddar cheese - chopped
a little Parmesan cheese
a tiny bit of chopped parsley

How to do it:
Preheat your oven to 200C/400F or Gas 6 
Remove the core from the onions the CoreStuff.

Rub each onion with a little olive oil and pop (un-stuffed) onto a shallow baking tray and cook for about 35 minutes.

Meanwhile, fry the bacon and cook till crispy.
Remove the onions from the oven and stuff each onion with the cheese and the bacon.  

Grate over a little Parmesan and put the onions back into the oven for another 15 minutes till the onions are cooked through and the cheese has melted.  

Sprinkle over a little chopped parsley and serve straight away.
