Dominos Pizza Delivery - Online Pizza Order Review

Now, as you know I love cooking, but sometimes you just seem to run out of time to cook!
I had never ordered an online pizza before and I must admit I was a tiny bit concerned it would turn up lukewarm and greasy.
Last night was one of those nights when I just seem to have run out of time to cook.  So, I ordered a pizza to be delivered from Domino’s Pizza and I’ve since been converted!
I rang our local branch to make sure they delivered in our area although I realised afterward, I could have very easily found that out online.
The girl that answered the phone said ‘Domino’s pizza’s, how can I help you’?
I asked about delivery and she asked for my postcode.  Immediately she replied ‘Yes we do, do you want me to take your order?'
To me it makes a big difference on how someone answers the telephone, I think you can get a good impression of the Company and how it's run that way.  Far better than if they sound bored when they answer and like they couldn’t care less if you ordered from them or not.

I logged on and I have to say I was amazed at how professional their site is.  If you’ve never had a look it’s well worth popping over to see for yourself.
You start by entering your postcode, and then you're presented with a huge list of different pizza toppings with size options, prices and pictures.
Problem, you now have to decide which one to choose – Ooh what to have, what to have?!
Us, (me and the husband) being very greedy people having finally made our choice and ordered a large pizza.  We decided on the Hot and Spicy 13.5” which has onions, ground beef, green peppers and jalapeno peppers.
You then choose when you want it delivered, either as soon as possible, or you pick a time to suit you (within 15 minute time slots).
I placed our order at 5.15pm and picked a delivery time of 6.15pm.  To be honest I did that just because I wanted to see if it worked!
You can then either pay cash on delivery, or pay by credit or debit card.
A conformation of your order is sent straight away to you by email.

It gets better – you can check the real time status of your delivery – when it’s baked and out for delivery - how marvelous, I love anything gadgety!
 See screen capture below:
Total Amazement – it came at 6.12pm!
The pizza arrived nice and hot with the crust lovely and soft and not at all hard. Lovely fresh pizza with just the right amount of jalapeno peppers and topping.
Oh and by the way, you can even choose the type of base and crust you want your pizza to have.
Of course you can order sides such as coleslaw, potato wedges, garlic bread, chicken wings and more. You can even order drinks, ice cream or cheesecake too.
So, I’ve been converted and will be ordering again soon!

Hungry now?  Take a look and place an order at your local Domino's pizza now.

Organic Food Delivery from Box Fresh Organics

You can buy organic food online from Box Fresh Organics.
They have a fantastic range and their home delivery service is FREE!
I found the fruit and veg box to be of high quality and at a surprisingly low price.
The cardboard box that your order arrives in can be left out when you're expecting your next deliver as they use it again to helps keep packaging down to a minimum and unnecessary costs down.
Of course the carrots and potatoes will have to be scrubbed because they are straight from the farm, they are dirty - just like they should be!
Much better than them being messed about with and shoved into a plastic bag only to sit on a supermarket shelf for (sometimes) days on end.

The box was packed full and contained cauliflower, broccoli, carrots, potatoes, onions, corn on the cob, a red pepper, apples, pears and bananas.

As I said before, everything was of high quality and I love the fact that if, for example you don't like carrots - you just let them know your dislikes and they will leave them out and you'll get replacement varieties instead.
What else besides fruit and veg can you order from Box Fresh Organics?
Just about anything - just veg, just fruit, or a mixture of both, top quality meat - the beef is Aberdeen Angus. Poultry, pork, bacon lamb and sausages can are all be ordered.
And it doesn't stop there, you can even have eggs and dairy produce, store cupboard items and cleaning products delivered too!
Pop over to Box Fresh and take a look for yourself.
Thank you to Des at Box Fresh Organics.

The Meadow Inn Ironbridge Shropshire

If you're looking for a place to eat in Ironbridge, Shropshire - The Meadow Inn Steakhouse at is 'just' outside of Ironbridge and is excellent!
From the minute you step through the door, you're made to feel welcome by the friendly staff.
The Meadow Inn is the only 'Steakhouse' in Ironbridge and all the beef they serve is minimum 28 day matured.
The Meadow has three very different dining areas inside.  Outside there’s a lovely decked patio area and a beer garden that stretches down to the river’s edge.  Perfect for relaxing with a drink in the summer.

Steaks are always cooked to perfection.  I’m always very pleased as I ask for my steak to be cooked ‘medium rare, but more on the rare side’.  The chefs have never got that wrong yet and we eat there quite a lot.
I also think they should win an award for the best chunky chips - they are lovely and crispy and can't be matched anywhere!

It’s not only steaks on the menu, far from it!
You’ll find a great range of food.  Everything from vegetarian dishes, fish, chicken, totally yummy salads and a fantastic selection of filled baguettes.

It’s worth noting the Bubbly Beer Battered Fish and Chips are delicious with mushy peas and homemade tartar sauce.  At the time of writing the children's menu priced at just £5.95 and includes an ice cream for pudding.
There is always a good range of tempting puddings or a cheeseboard to end your meal perfectly.
I could easily just sit and relax, eat and drink, quite happily all day.
Oh and by the way, The Meadow is also exceptionally clean and the loos are spotless!
So, if you’re in the area you really should visit The Meadow Steakhouse and you won’t be disappointed.

CSN Stores Le Creuset Frying Pan Toughened non-stick

You might remember a few posts back I mentioned that I'd be doing a review of a product from Wayfair (was) CSN stores?
Now this is the frying pans of all frying pans - I love it!
Having only just got it, I've still managed to use it a good few times and the non-stick is amazing.
You can even fry an egg with no oil if you wish and the egg just slides about effortlessly in the pan - marvelous!
Wayfair stores sell this pan in 4 sizes from 24cm 26cm 28cm and 30cm.
Of course, CSN also has quality home furnishings at affordable prices. You can browse their huge selection of bedroom furniture, modern furniture, luggage and more!
With FREE delivery on orders (on almost everything) over £40
I think Wayfair are are amazing.
Once again, I found lots of products quite a lot cheaper than other placed on-line.  At the time of writing, this 30cm frying pan is £7.16 cheaper at Wayfair than it is over at Amazon with no difference in the fast free delivery time either.
Thank you again to Eileen over at Wayfair Stores.

Beef Rendang

This is a Rick Stein recipe from his book Far Eastern Odyssey. There are many versions of Beef Rendang and this is more of a Malaysian 'wetter' version of the Indonesian dry rendang.
I'd never had Rendang before and have wanted to make it for ages.  It does seem a bit of a faff, but it is worth it as it really is rather very yummy indeedy.

MyIce - Collect and Spend Ice Credits Online

I was contacted by MyIce a fantastic new website where consumers can collect and spend Ice credits online either by visiting MyIce.com or over telephone or in-store with an Ice card.

It's all very 'ice' and easy too.....sorry I couldn't help myself!
So, start shopping and start collecting your credits now.

The people at MyIce very kindly credited my account with enough Ice points to buy some yummy chocolate.  All I had to do was click 'Spend Ice' at the top of the screen and carry on with my order as you normally would with any online ordering. If I had wanted anything more expensive I could of course, have simply paid the balance.

How did I find the shopping experience?
    * It took me just 2 minutes to register and a few minutes to place an order.
    * I ordered Green and Black's 'Chocolate Lovers Collection' which can be found under the Food and Drink on the MyIce website.
    * I found the MyIce website was very easy to navigate and very easy to use.
    * It was simple to know how many points I had as they were shown at the top of the screen.
    * The whole process was so easy and you easily can join MyIce here.

The Chocolates from Green and Black's arrived and were rather very nice indeed!  As you can see, there was a selection of chocolate bars packaged really nicely too.

'Crushed Diamonds' with Cocoa Nibs has to be the best I say -
Dark Fair Trade, Organic and Delicious.
Paul (the husband) has got quite addicted to 'The Coffee Affair' a Dark Organic Fair Trade Chocolate with the Aroma of Espresso.  You have to love coffee for this one as the coffee flavour (to me anyway) was very strong.

Coconut Oat and Yoghurt Cookies

The nice people at 'TOTAL' very kindly sent me some Greek Yoghurt to try out.
The great thing about TOTAL is it can be used in cooking and the 2% and 10% versions won't split when heated.
I'm already a big fan of TOTAL yoghurt and always use it in cooking as it I really do think it is the best!
Proper natural Greek yoghurt produced in Greece.

Perfect Jacket Potato

A perfectly cooked jacket potato should be crispy and salty on the outside and white and fluffy on the inside.
A jacket potato (or baked potato) should be served so hot you have to blow on every forkful.
Once they're cooked, make a cross with a knife in the top.
Add a huge dollop of butter and a probably an unhealthy amount of salt.......
It all goes to making every mouthful delicious.

Sicilian Pork Ragu with Chocolate

Pork Ragu with Chocolate - yes I agree it sounds a little bit odd!
I've adapted it from the book 'The Southern Italian Table'.
But everyone's heard of putting chocolate in chilli - so why not in Ragu?!
